Designed to Inspire
The Jacaranda Blooms Hotel is a design proposal for a 16 storey hotel building comprising of 5 star accommodation that includes 180 beds, conference facilities, 2 restaurants, presidential suites, underground car parking and an outdoor entertainment area coupled with a gym and swimming pool.
Jacaranda Blooms due to its name drew our outlook at nature and how to integrate the beauty of the natural form with a functionality that can not only hold its own but is economical and sustainable. The site played a crucial role in how we approached the design. Due to its prominent location and proximity to major commercial centre, Jacaranda Blooms had to take on an iconic status and represent a vision that looks at enhancing the Jacaranda hotels brand.
The form is inspired by the silhouette of a blooming plant (be it a blade of grass, a banana plant or a tulip) showing nature’s perfected response. The form is also derived from the study of the Jacaranda leaf and is then manipulated using computer-aided design to create a plan that both creates a visual appeal but is also efficient by reducing the need for circulation.
This biomimicry enhances the quality of the spaces internally and creates rooms that have a high level of day lighting which in turn reduces the demands on energy consumption.
Our primary goal is to design a building that is unique and thus memorable and one that offers quality Architectural space.
