Xhinua Mixed Use Development
This project begun as a design competition that Tectura was honoured to win. The Xinhua News Agency is the state press agency of the People’s Republic of China. Xinhua operates 107 foreign bureaus worldwide including Kenya, and maintains 31 bureaus in China— one for each province, plus a military bureau.
Taraji Heights
The preliminary concept is a development comprising of a mix of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments units on a 3-acre site located in Ruaka, one of the emerging satellite towns in the Nairobi Metropolitan area. The aim of the design was to identify an innovative concept and architectural design that addressed the challenging nature of the site. The Client was looking for a design that maximizes the full potential of the site while fully exploiting the slope of the land.
Tamarind Tree Hotel
The proposed hotel is situated 4km from the Nairobi City centre and will share the premises with one of Nairobi’s most premier restaurants. The proposed hotel will offer conference facilities, restaurants, entertainment areas and 160 beds. The hotel is also in close proximity to the Jomo Kenyatta international airport. The design looked at integrating sustainability initiatives that will complement its visual appeal.
Mixed Urban Development Facility
This project is a mixed development project looking at the creation of commercial office suites on the ground level and creation of 24 apartments on the upper level that range from small 2 beds apartments to penthouse accommodation on the top level.
